A piece for tourmalines Color your world challenge

Could it be said, this bird is

as bright as the morning sun ?

noted for its bright yellow plumage

and as chirpy in the afternoon as he is in the morning

rise and shine folks, the morning is here! the little

yellow bird sings out.

Brown Feathered Canada Geese

Bringing an aire of nature to the painters palette

Red mixes with yellow and that colour goes darker as

Orange meets black and blue

Wild Animals have this colour in their fur , feathers and quills

Notably the geese who fly across town

Hope you liked this short acrostic for #CYW – Here’s another link to a poem with a brown theme – https://inkdrops.blog/2019/09/08/chocolate-4

Corpse

The deceased lay prone

Where it sent a message from beyond the skirting board

Everyone was surprised to find feathers,

Expecting to see a more furry resident in the gap

The only question…how did it get there?

In the corner, el gato sat innocent

Not saying a word, the

Goldfish kept a nervous silence

Pink Flamingo

#coloryourworld #cyw #pinkflamingo

long legged bird

wading in water

feet unseen

across America and Africa

you settle with your siblings

wonderous waterfowl

balanced like ballerinas

up on one leg

hidden in feathers – the other peg

paired in twos – for life (the news)

settled together in a homely nest

as mum and dad to two chicks – the best

and by the great big watering hole

pairs form groups – safety their goal

up in the sky – during flight – and at night

Canary

canary

Clever little bird,

aware of the things around you

natures warning system for those heading underground

as they go looking for treasures hidden away

reeling out tunes as the material is dug

your silence – a signal – its time to get out.
