Could it be said, this bird is
as bright as the morning sun ?
noted for its bright yellow plumage
and as chirpy in the afternoon as he is in the morning
rise and shine folks, the morning is here! the little
yellow bird sings out.

A tale of life down the pits – and a very clever bird
They closed all the pits
they say it wernt safe
we were digging out the props keeping land up
They said
The Gas were strong
and sending our mates
off to dreamland
forever
But as well as hammer and pick
we had a new trick
up our sleeves
to look out fer stuff we couldnt see
Bright little bird , wi
Feathers o’ yellow
Chirped away – when safe, and quiet when not
Clever little fellow

Clever little bird,
aware of the things around you
natures warning system for those heading underground
as they go looking for treasures hidden away
reeling out tunes as the material is dug
your silence – a signal – its time to get out.
