ideal view

#MLMM

From the top of the tower

he had an ideal view

of the comings and goings

down below

Looking down

he could see

all the cars and the buses

making their way through the big city

And as they moved

through the city

big as they were – the people

looked like tiny ants

And as he looked at them

A small group of ants

looked up at his viewpoint

where he was sitting

doggy portrait by MLMM

A shaggy reunion

the dogs from the pound

now happily re-homed

in new homes around

They all know each other

from their time inside

where they spent time together

a moment of pride

And the big dogs taught the little

how to sit, beg and stay

so they knew what to do when

the humans came their way

So after some nibbles

and a drink from their dishes

they sit nice in a photo

to send you “Best Wishes”

Behind the scenes

1st February 2019

A couple of Shots from the Lens of my Nikon Camera

The First shot – taken at IWM Duxford, in Cambridgeshire, Taken from under the wing of a Lancaster Bomber.

The Second Shot….setup of experimental shots with BASIC Clicks, capturing Water Movement. This shot was a bit of a group effort, as each part of the shot from pouring the water to setting up the deflector took 1 person each in its creation

Pics from the portacabin

Brain & Spinal Injury Centre (BASIC), Salford, UK

31st March 2017

Today was the first session of BASICs photography sessions in our new home.

We’ve upped sticks from the side room used for Memory workshop and have set up in the portacabin which was once used by the art group, next to the enchanted garden.

Preparations began last week, as we cleared out some of the tables and surplus and set up a studio area

Moving to the portacabin has allowed us a little bit more space to store equipment, and provided us with a dedicated space for our studio shots.  in the summer when the garden is in bloom – it will give us access to the trees and the flowers growing there.

Chilli’s in a Box

The photography group had a bit of a surprise today,

In that some of our photographs are going to be put on public display in the largest shopping centre in Greater Manchester, The Trafford Centre.

With the help of our tutor Maggie, we’ve picked out some of our best work, and these will be framed and put on display for visitors to come and see.

When complete – the photos will be framed and put in a prominent place for a period of time in the shopping centre.

Filling in the Blanks

Blank

The scroll of paper

was pinned to the wall

ready for action

It remained as it was

for a number of minutes

as little thinkers – Thought

Blank white paper

with nothing to say

but – “FILL ME IN”

Suddenly a word, two or three

accompanied by colours diagrams and pictures

explode from the white – Reds Greens and Blues

Ideas, Opinions, Conceptions

filling up the space

forming a finished picture

And with Masterpiece complete

the story presented

The picture is stored away for safe keeping

Revealing – Another Blank Space
