Marathon pinnacle of the amateur athletes preparation stood by the line , waiting for the sound of the air horn twenty six miles following the road alongside the record breakers and club runners and teams in fancy dress. Guiding the way, the marshals on the miles leading the athletes to their goal.
I could have sworn a pack of imperial stormtroopers passed me more than once 🙂
