while mum waits for the seafood to defrost
i’m helping dad prepare a little something
nothing fancy, just an old favourite we both enjoy
grated cheese and salt and pepper sit on the table while
mince joins carrot and onion with tomato in a pan
and while dad prepares mum’s dinner – i watch the sauce as it bubbles away
nice to be helpful once in a while
