Beware of the cotton and nylon

they maybe wearable

but they’ve got one heck of a temper

when stressed

It starts at the factory

when the threads are pulled and tugged

and continues when they are cut and sown

wanting to be back in their bundles and rolls

School day games on the sport field

cause a tear in the fabric

that managed to keep together

when hanging up on rails in the store

Mr Marks and Mr Spencer

weren’t expecting the wearer

to recreate the art of Mr Gerrard or Mr Giggs

so expect a touch of resistance ? or rebellion ? or revenge

as Mum and Dad try to make piece A join to piece B

and ultimately, cause a jam
