Being Like Mummy

I watched my mum dress

as she got ready to go

to the dinner show

babysitter down

watching telly all night

so i chose to play

copying mums moves

and making something pretty

in mums bedroom

on return – a surprise

or maybe a shock – unclear

dad raised a smile
