you could say he’s saying thank you
where a woof or bark won’t suffice
he’s been fed like a king for seven whole days
and thinks that you’ve been nice
And he really liked you running about
with his chew toys and his ball
so he’s appreciated your efforts
when you’ve given him your all
And most of all he’s enjoyed
your attention throwing sticks
so don’t be surprised of this happy chap
when he licks your face having leapt in your lap
