As you’re walking through the woodland
it’s funny how noisy it is
you think you’re enjoying the peace
of the waterside idyll
but every crack of wood
and crackle of campfire
is enough to make the locals
go postal
it might be a snap of a twig to you
but to the birds, mice, and hedgehogs
it’s a siren going off.
And our chum the butterflies wings
beware the hurricane.
