Hope

#octpowrimo

The bee moved into his new home

welcomed by the queen

the drones guided him through the garden

the largest that he’d seen

And while he collected the nectar

pollen went high in the air

falling down on the flowers

as he flew without care

and the Trees they moved their branches,

as if there was a need

that next year’s flowers would be plenty

grown from the fallen seed

The gardener covered the seeds up

in hope fresh colour they’d bring

attracting the birds and the bees back

sometime in the Spring
