Missed Connection

Tram

Could you say he was mildly amused ?

off he hopped at Piccadilly, on a mission to get to a game

next thing you know , he’s waiting for the named tram to take him

not north but east off to Old Trafford – he tried to

escape the sardines, but couldn’t out run them

cramming themselves on the Altrincham line like sardines to be first there

there’s no one around now – just him and a tannoy

in five minutes the BBC service will be pulling in – Rabbit out of a hat ?

of course he’ll get there before the ref blows his whistle for the kick off –

noted – he won’t be stopping to tie his boots up on the way.
