The Inkwell

from inkdrop – poetry, places and events

Divide
Divide – split up

Theย whole of an Orange split between friends

The sharing of a tin of chocolates at a party

Happiness achieved through Friendship

But then the tables turn

the coin is flipped from head to tails

and another side of the split is revealed

Territory marked out by a peace line in conflict

Children split from siblings through argument

And the commonest divides coming through greed, hate and war

Can the Divided become one again?ย  In time perhaps
