there is a risk of onlookers
but above everyone
no one can really see you
or can they?

expect a dose of lady and the tramp when you’re sharing the pasta

coming together to make a wonderful brew
carrots peas and beans enjoy the bubbles
as all the flavours infuse
we want the veg to stay whole
so after they’ve danced in the pan
into the soup bowl they go
joined by bits of lovely crusty bread

requiring something crisp on the varanda
while the sunbeams skip happily
across the canalside
bottle opens and rainbows shine as
bubbles rise happily
cool liquid fizzes over
ice cold cubes
some clinging over slices of fresh lemon
while others travel up the glass
watch the rainbows

as bananas meet up with ice cream
nuts and syrup
allying bananas with chocolate and strawberry
neapolitan in its look in the glass bowl
and you know, every bit will end up being chomped
