  • Round the world in 80 plates

    #food #tapas #greek #indian #chinese #spanish #italian

    Sat under the Salford Sunshine

I’m off on a journey of taste

    Gravitating towards dishes delicious and

Helping myself to a smorgasbord of

Tapas from Spain, Pasta from Italy or Noodles from China

Looks and smells attract the appetite – so give it a try

Often, its a plate or two of Dim Sum, but on

Other days, its Singapore Noodles or Wanton Soup

Keeping me moving around the globe

In an International hunt to satisfy the tastebuds

No need for extreme heat in that samosa – just give me

Great taste from the spice – and dont killi it with the chilli

Greek dishes on Monday Afternoon while in town

olives and Gyros – the best that’s around

or pastas with italian flavours so bold

definately noticed by my tastebuds of old

  • Nature’s Weaver

    #CCC049 #Nature #Spider #Web

Clinging off the leaves and branches

miss arachnid busily lays her silk

draping it over leaf and berry

    creating something something beautiful

    but for her lunch dangerous

  • Umbrella

    #wwp #beach #summer #umbrella #shade

    keeping you dry from clouds

    colourful umbrella has another use

    when sunny and too warm

    providing little ones shade

    cooling off with ice cream

  • collector of thoughts

    #socs #pad

    carbon overflowed

on the fresh piece of paper

    as the pencil moved

    ideas moved quick

from mind to ringed lined binder

    kept safe for later

    not just words therein

    but drawings and quick doodles

    directional maps

    ready for recall

    to document when needed or

    perhaps drawn up

  • Busy Bee

    A poem in response to

    https://crispinakemp.com/2025/08/20/crimsons-creative-challenge-048/

    while the hoomans are picnicking

    and playing their games

out in the heat of the summer sun

    a stripey little fellow

    travels about the garden flowers

    collecting nectar for his hive

and you’ll know he’s about and around

by the noise of his buzzing sound

  • Low bearing fruit

A response to Crimson’s Creative Challenge #047 | crispina kemp

    Walking past the stone wall

out of the corner of the eye

    numbers of tasty

delicious fruit send a message – “Come and get us”

each one of them yell, but the kids will have to wait till they’re

ready to fall from the apple trees branch

  • The upside of rain

    #WDYS

Summer time might be coming to a close, and

    poor old kids are

longing for more time in ra’s gaze, but

autumn comes with its own fun

splashing in your wellies in muddy puddles and

having a wail of a time with park leaves in the wind

  • Headin’ west on the old express

    #train #manchester #chester

packing a bag for a day out

where i’m off to see a diva of a city

    travelling by wheels of steel

following the rail to destination about

to the roman town a lot less gritty

    taking in another museums things

the engine so quick it doesn’t seem real

but this flight of fancy hasn’t got wings

  • Sunday lunch tapas

    something spanish served

up to fill that gap tween breakfast and teatime

nice plate of rabbit served up

    daintily with tomato and onion

and lets not forget the helping of flan

    you have for afters

  • #fowc

    maze of mirrored glass

    makes members of the public

    make mischievously naughty giggles

    as they see themselves distorted

    in the reflected surfaces
