I suppose you could say

it brings a bit of colour to the day

before the curtains are open

to bring the sunshine

visions of reds , yellows and orange

scattered around the mountain tops

informing their residents

it’s time to get up

and the cheeps of the birds

observing the colourburst

tell all who are there

it’s time to search out breakfast

but who’s that on beyond the clouds?

a sound, familiar …. Not heard for a while

in a far off tree seen, a sound of a relative

chirping hello, to make you smile
