I learned a lot from the philosophers
when I was little
see buying that massive bag of toffees
might give me smiles for a short time
but after the initial sugar hit
I wouldn’t have much to show for it
instead….the little 10p chocolate bar
would make me happy
with the rest going into my pot pig
till there was enough for a comic or even
a little pocket money toy
