They’re a well travelled pair these two

companions for a little lad

all those years ago

when he was very small

travels taking them across the island

as well as countries and continents

the odd home move –

travels, where they would sit in the sun

and share a spot with t-shirts and shorts

now sat in the living room

sat on a comfy cushion – watching the weather go by

as the flowers move in a gentle breeze
