With a Nod to Mr Gavlak for the image

The rail carved its way

through heather and limestone

in order for the engine

to get from Sheffield to Manchester

Travelling over conifers

where once a large lake would be

providing views of hills and dales

Steam clouds travel through the sky

as powerful pistons move

the wheels of steel

Golden Engine

travels through a wonderful landscape

perfect while eating in the dining carriage
