Picking up the pennies

#writeclub #san-san

up and down he’s tidying the street

a wonder of mankind

adding extra value to his day

picking up things from under his feet

and pennies he happens to find

as the pennies make pounds he’ll be off soon

to watch his chosen footy team at play

with goodies bought from pennies picked up this afternoon

    1. Hi Christine San-San is a Japanese Form of Poetry that works on the eight line pattern a-b-c-a-b-d-c-d, line 1 matches with line 4 and so on. It can be a bit tricky towards the end but so long as you remember the pattern all is well.

      1. Ah, interesting! I have attempted some tricky poetry forms. As long as I can stay organized I can usually accomplish something….not always a great something…
