Down our way

is a place that’s stood since Tudor times

royalty used to drop in, and

engage in country pursuits as

council housing en masse wasn’t a thing back then

then neither were the motorcar or bikes

if you wanted something to eat – you would cook it on an open fire

only now – modern day living means the kids don’t experience that

now getting stuff of the past from books school, and museums
