a seasonal poem from inky
Santa’s had a little list
produced on parchment all year
to attribute presents to naughty and nice
If you’ve been good you have nothing to fear
See while he’s been busy in the workshop
his crack team of elves have been here
watching goings on of kids, mums and dads
and noting down stuff for santa to hear
So excesses are greeted with old oranges
and naughtiness greeted with coal
and santa’s elves have had a festive feast
eating all the good chocolate whole
Don’t worry for the kids who have been nice
They’re eating candy and sugared chocolate mice
So the good boys and girls have a nice time
while the bad boys and girls shed a tear
and the lesson to be learned? Don’t be bad – you’ll get burned
and you might get summat better next year
