Hole in the Sky

The Sun was travelling towards the horizon

While the moon was preparing for work

The clouds were moving excitedly

as the sky was going berserk

see it wasn’t an alien visitor

or fire from an asteroid group

but the simplest of things – that made those with wings

go totally loop-de-loop

See up in the clouds of the sunset skies

remained a spot of brightest sky blue

the winds tried their best to cover it up

but then – what else could they do

The patch of sky – it was a little embarrassed

and it turned a shade of bright red

it hadn’t turned back its clock for autumn

and followed the rest back to bed
