(Alt: The Cracking of an empty safe)

It wasn’t surprising

the crooks got caught

the safe was empty

the balance – nought

the tellers had moved

all deposits down the road

to a much more nice and secure abode

so despite all the planning

and using the right tools

when they got past the safe door

they looked nothing but fools

and instead of cash and fancy jewellery

all the crooks saw was the local constabulary
