Sitting as it does – In the Centre of our Solar System
under its brightness we sit
Night and day it sends us warmth – on both
Sides of terra as it turns – warming us up with
Hot rays of infra red – and sometimes occasional shows of colour
It’s there all year round – hiding more in Autumn and Winter
Night-time it pops down the Horizon – warming up the second half
Everyone likes it – sat under a parasol on the beach
