When I was Little

#TBT #Growing up

Seems an awful long time now

I’ve lived in three houses in my life all within relative reach of one another,

Going looking for houses one and two ? Difficult, as the wrecking ball hit them

From a flat on Oldfield Road to a Terrace on Tamworth Walk – that’s where i spent my growing up

Seven years spent with a teddy for company – and then my little blister landed on the scene

Board Games and Toy Trucks and Lego – as well as the collection of Books

Spent time in the square with the next door neighbours kids – and ended up in all sorts of fun on camping trips joining their eldest in Cubs

Travelling the northern greens spots and pitching up a tent for a weekend or a week or even a fortnight

before returning home to the neon-floodlit square , and the family cat who would say hello.
