Perfectly Imperfect

Perfect/Imperfect – Image from Bing

Little jim came home from school

with something that he’d prepared

a picture painted on a board

of his favourite bear

Now unofficial critics

would pick holes in the picture he made

but it didn’t stop his mum and dad

on the wall it was displayed

See while he worked on the piece

in the classroom fore and aft

Young Jim was learning colour and shape

in essence – perfecting his craft

And it might not be a Picasso

or Rembrandt or other old master’s art

but it’s something the lad can be proud of

so the journey to the gallery? it’s a start!
