You’ve been wondering what that

really pungent smell was

in the kitchen

You threw cleaner into

the oven and washing machine

and deep cleaned the microwave

Over in the corner,

the fridge remained ticking over

was it laughing at you ?

For hiding among the pates,

the meat pies and fruit juices

something was hiding

and smiling – while you both played hide and seek

and as Cheddar and Red Leicester looked on

in horror

the stinky blue cheese hid at the back.
