It’s not a compulsion, condition or whim

but i’d be worried for the items on the desk of Miss Prim

I’m all for everything being in proper place

but this lady, takes the ethos to a totally different space

Nursery playthings are kept under the stairs

with Teddies and Dolls totally unawares

tracks of toy trains – not changing their route

should Miss Prim finds she’s got one under her foot

Kids colouring in their books , often find

their coloured pencils in regimented line

and toys on the bookshelf can’t leave their space

should Miss Prim find them on the floor in disgrace

Keeping things tidy is all well and good

but she’s even lined up the fallen sticks and wood

Don’t tell the children – they’re going to paint

It’s enough to make poor Miss Prim want to faint

Nursery kids – always make a mess

how Miss Prim reacts ? is anyone’s guess
