Flight formation

They’re circling the rooftops

checking out the greenery

and creating shadows on the road surface

they’re on the search

for that spot in the city

where some generous friend

dropped bird seed and broken biscuits

for them to enjoy

so they’re swooping on each garden

and each patch of green

en masse
