In a time of Pandemic
They’re having a bash
at lifting the spirits
so They’re splashing the cash
Before the pandemic
Austerity schooled
while services were cut back
and things over-ruled
But with national crisis
they’ve found cash under the rug
and to the cabinet we’ve to be grateful
giving forelocks a tug
And they say that the pension rise
is for all,
Hoping you’ve forgot any cutbacks
When they come round to call.
