Christmas day

waiting was a bit of a chore

As rooms were decorated

And brightly coloured trees

Waited

For Christmas presents to be placed

At their feet

Church bells rang out

For the saviours birthday

While a host of beasts

Were prepared for a festive feast

Sweet treats

Hanging from the tree

Sweet as the pudding

Served after tea
