The humans moved out of this place
They used to make things here
Things that moved
Things that travelled

A few returned,
leaving their mark
Adding a spot of colour
to desolate walls

Mother nature spotted
the empty space
and send out a message
via the western wind

Soon up in the girders,
feathered builders of craft,
making homes in foundations
in steels for and aft

    1. Many thanks Sarabeth. The poem is 100% mine – scripted from a desk at the Inkwell. Alas, I cannot lay claim to the photo that inspired it, Hence I put a credit underneath the photo. Glad you enjoyed the read.
