Gliding Home

A piece from my profile on Allpoetry.com – another one on Salfords feathered friends

Bird

Dropping from a local scaffolding pole
a prince of the air, snatches the wind
gliding gracefully over the air
on the way to a nest high in a tree
dropping down on occasion for a rest
or onto the grass for a juicy worm
