He swam from tropical waters

and landed in our seas

rescued by a trawler

from being a seagulls tea

The boatmen stored him carefully

as they made their way to the dock

a wildlife officer would come on board

at the entrance to the lock

Far too risky to put back in the waters

so they took him to a kind of zoo

“The Sea Life Centre” near Old Trafford

Travelling down the M62

And the keepers they took care of him

and made sure he was watered and fed

as he found a spot in the waters

and headed off to bed
