theres one side of my bedroom that has become my own private gallery.
mickey mouse meets mountainous hills
one wall, contains a print of a local salford artist, joe Coffey…the connection tween the artist and myself ? We went to school together. I went to one of his shows at the community art gallery in Langworthy…a short distance from where I live . We had a brief reunion whilst I saw his works and I picked up a signed print to help an old mate out.
the pic … tranquility…. is of the irwell and one of the green areas (possibly peel park) that it runs alongside
i picked up the next pic as I picked up some bedroom shelves in Warrington. It’s a print of a Walt Disney cartoon…black and white…vanilla washed….mickey mouse and his dog Pluto, it raises a smile when friends come round.
The third pic…isn’t really a pic…it’s a mirror…but it’s embossed with a favourite character of mine…that bouncy friend of Winnie the Pooh…Tigger….I look at him as my reflection comes back….art with a dual purpose.
a picture of a mountain side by the artist c.todd overlooks the place I’m currently writing at. And this is a real painting. I picked it up from a craft fair in one of the local towns, and is of a mountainside, could be the Lake District, could be the peaks…could even be Japan..i like the colours that run through it
Walls are the best canvas for us to extend our creative pursuits!
