Colour of a metal,
elementally – you’re not precious, but vital nonetheless
some would call you pink in colour
whilst others – nearer orange after time
collected by kids in schooldays attire
used by workmen in piping and wire
seen around , up and down
every house in the land
transporting utilities as vessels
from their works to home
