Rearrange
(Alternative title : one lads quest against the puzzle machine)
Salford, 28th October 2016

Ok, rearrange the mixed up puzzle bits…
Christmas is coming up so its a definite bet I shall be getting one of these from Santa’s Sack from a well meaning relative in a few weeks time
They say these things are good for the brain – I shall beg to differ.
Now here’s the funny thing.
These 3D wooden puzzles come in a completed state in a plastic box. Unlike your average jigsaw puzzle – the answers there already. What they want you to do is take them apart and put it back together again… and fit it back in the box…
It Kind of Defeats the objective doesn’t it ?
You break it apart – into its various ‘pieces’ and then take hours trying to put it back together again.
I take solace in they give you a ‘solution’ – but try and get any of these puzzles the way they were presented in the box…and I can hear the sound of screaming up and down the country
worse still they dangle the carrot – of another solution, rearranging the pieces
and lord help you if you lose a piece….
and then when you finally made the blessed thing…what happens?
someone undoes all your hard work and you have to begin again….
(AARRRGH!!!!!)
That was me screaming in silent frustration after completing the brown wood pyramid puzzle in the photo and then seeing it fly in different directions….
I’m sticking with the Ipad puzzles.
