Candle

candle

Sat in solemnity

the light brightens

the dark of midnight

Prayer for a loved one

the young old, the sick, the traveller,

kept in a moment of action

The light travels far

directing the thoughts of those

who’s thinking about their own

And the wax melts

tears of sadness or joy

fall in line down in line

And as the light continues to shine

the sign of the holders

shines out for all to see
