Superstition

I was due on the 13th April

(arrived early on the scene)

had looks to break a mirror

in pieces – sharp but clean

Kept a black cat at home

which would take on local dogs

and would sit in all kinds of weather

in puddles deep for frogs

And Lucky shamrocks grew

in a garden lush and green

along with Deadly Nightshade

and other witches herbs between
