A response to the prompt
Clouds

I saw you floating,
towards your goal in
the sky of blue

Fluffy white marshmallow
up in the sky above
where are you going?

creamy topped wisps
of milky coloured cloud
wait for the wind
nimble little things
accumulate
to form giants
of summer skies

and the cricketers await
your assistance
controlling the corona
of the nearby sun

Whilst others wait

for you to simply

melt away

[…] I was so taken by the clouds one day – I wrote a poem about them – “Marshmallows” – which you can find on the blog here https://inkdropblog.wordpress.com/2015/10/25/marshmallows/ […]

Took me sometime going through all your work to find this one lol. I live in the south west so I envy some of the weather you probably get to see that I don’t like snow, stormy nights and when the northern lights pay a visit πŸ™‚

Snow in the south west …? Surely not…too warm in winter down south for that…now force gale winds , high tides and horizontal rain β˜”οΈ that’s a different story!

Haven’t seen snow down here in years, well not more than the odd flake. Always plenty of rain to spare πŸ˜‰
