awaited the cars
stranger still – windows
in the back of the car – were
clear as anything
should they turn around?

Red, green? Quite a choice,
fits nice in hand when eating,
delicious when baked.
Best eaten “as-is”
but tasty baked or in pies
nice with sultanas
great with walnuts in
a waldorf salad – or as
topping on a sponge

When singing away at his everyday tasks
it was noted what a lovely voice he had
he did a bit of singing in the church choir
and had performed at school
but never professionally
The recording machine
did a bit of a number
on our voice of an angel
sounding no more alto or bass
but more cyber and android

out of the sticks this wonder lies
location perfect for anyone searching for sun
its a wonderful place to visit
daily activities in the market
and fun and games on the beach
you’ll want to have a room there – but the accommodations really small

Night time
isn’t the easiest of times as
group leader on a scout and guide camp
hoping your young charges
took notice of a big day tomorrow
the thing is
in making your way back to the dorms
movement can be heard from beyond the window
every scouter knows – they’re out of their beds

Spotted, in a nest up above
proud parents are tending to their brood
excited by the things mum and dad bring them
cut off stems with the finest fruits
keep the little ones happy as they
launch their beaks into blackberry or raspberry
ending up in the shell they
decided to break out of

there’s something familiar
and almost religious
about this stone monument
as you walk around
these windows to the sky
it almost makes you
want to say a prayer of thanks
it’s stayed around for so long

Most days
on a weekend, i’ll
navigate to a place thats new
often armed with my camera
capturing views of the area and
hopping on and off the
regular transport to get there
often im taking picks in technicolor but
metallic hues in the architecture make me
excited to try something new, especially if its water

something special, served
up for sunday lunch
now it might have been a bit pricey but
dessert had to be taken into consideration
and drinks to quench the thirst
yes indeedy it was tasty
lamb cutlets cooked traditionally
under the grill with olive oil, rosemary and
new potatoes, and a squirt of lemon
caramel pudding and lemon drink made this tapas fab
happy happy happy
