sat on the street where

i go to church, lies a place

of cooking wonder

Tortilla with toppings

and prawns from the sea

or roasted pork meatballs, done by degree

anchovies served up with familiar tang

or padron peppers with a heat that sang

also on the plate some sweet honey treats

alongside some cheeses and tasty cured meats

and fish on the menu? not seen in canal

with squid or maybe octopus its hardly banal

and pudding served up – creme caramel

and chocolate mousse and sorbet as well
