You could call him a fussy eater

he doesn’t like his greens

tell him we’re having salad for lunch

he’ll say he’s not overly keen

but what’s this that pop’s cooked for dinner?

a really tasty northern treat

comprised of potato, lamb and carrot

and other stuff that the fusspot won’t eat

he likes the smell of the gravy

and came into the kitchen for a sniff

sitting patient for serving to the table

inspired by the whiff

and breaking into the potato top

he gave this new dish a taste

wolfing down every morsel

enjoying it without haste
