Maybe it is because of the colour
but i prefer an Orange orange
to a green one
colour develops
over time, as they hang off the arm
of the orange tree
Slowly, the Green Peel
morphs from green to bright orange
as it drinks sunlight
Sending out a call
to all who look after them
the fruit is ready
Peeled, sliced or sugared
best eaten at their ripest
when nice and zesty
