when I was younger
I played music with pans
set out on the floor
I enjoyed the crash
of the shiny round cymbals
and the big bass drums
in school, recorders
Created sweet Melodie’s
which moved down the hall
and later, harmonica
made magnificent noises
played to a jazz tune
