On reflection ,It was obvious, he’d missed the memo
while he was sat on his perch alone
loads of his mates were having a whale of a time
sambaing among the birdseed and
Splashing about in the big bird bath across town
positives to all this – he’d be first in line for lunch
a downside – he’d be an obvious target for the
roaming garden moggy
realisation led to a callout and
out of nowhere – the
wanderers returned, swooping onto
sierra brown rooftops to say hello
