They called it an Arctic Blast
but this is (or still is) Winter
Jack frost’s favourite season
Icy winds blow
It’s too cold for snow
yet the flakes that have landed
as of yet haven’t been sanded
so you will fill forgive me
if in the third week in Jan
attempts to go out – go down the pan
with the dangers of ice on the floor – cause a slide
i think i’d be safer indoors – than outside!
