The congregation comes together
in their personal church
the ceremony lasts about ninety minutes
as two sets of hoplites
chase a ball round a field of green
battles taking place
in gladiatorial conquest
trying to get the ball in the back of the net
to the loser – reflection – and a lesson learned
to the winner – the spoils – and their cup filled to the brim
as the crowd cheers on
