A pleasant surprise
Awaited those round the table
After the kings speech
While various vegetables
slow cooked on the hob
there’s no Turkey to be seen
Whilst he’s running around
a happy little barn bird
there’s a leg of lamb roasting away
Carrots and Turnip
Parsnips and Petit Pois sit
around the roast
and biggest clue for
those not viewing ovens door
mint sauce as add-on
