and shiny as a pin
its been hibernating
from January to Now
Sleeping away
among the bubblewrap
with its brothers and sisters
awaiting the moment
Rainbows of Colour
ready to be released
to brighten up
a winters night
Sounds of Ruffling
in search of wrapping paper
and cards – a sign
its time to wake up
And as the old tree
descends the stairs
smiles of little ones
await the bauble and his brothers
